BBQ Team Members – Smokesmith Bar-B-Que

Full-Time / Part-Time | Sandpoint, ID | On-Site

We’re looking for passionate people to join our crew, whether you want to work in the pit, help prep and season meats, or slice and serve cooked barbecue. BBQ experience is appreciated but not required. What matters most is a love for barbecue, a willingness to learn, and the drive to do things right.

What You’ll Be Doing

Pit Crew: Smoke, monitor, and maintain meats to perfection. Manage ticket timing, prepare the fire to the right temperature, assist with prep and line operations, and wrap, rest, and run pans as needed.

Prep Team: Trim and season meats ahead of schedule, prep and cook house-made sides, portion ingredients, keep your station clean and organized, assist with sausage production, and support the crew where needed.

Cutting Team: Portion and slice cooked meats efficiently and accurately for service.

Front of House and Service: Take orders, serve drinks, guide guests through our market-style setup, and make sure every guest leaves with a smile.

Support fellow team members to keep operations running smoothly and maintain safety, sanitation, and quality standards in all tasks. Track pre-orders, special events, and daily stock levels. Jump in where needed to support dishes, bussing, or prep during slower stretches or high-volume service.

Requirements

Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, day and night shifts.

Able to lift 50 to 80 pounds and stand for long periods. Comfortable bending, reaching, stooping, and moving quickly.

Able to work in hot, cold, and fast-paced environments.

Reliable transportation.

High integrity, strong people skills, and willingness to learn.

Must be 19 or older if serving alcohol.
