Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of hands-on craftsman electrical experience, with a strong background in full residential new construction from start to finish, as well as industrial work and service calls. We are looking for a seasoned professional who takes pride in their craft and is ready to hit the ground running. Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute full electrical installations in craftsman-quality residential new construction projects, from rough-in through final trim and inspection. Perform electrical work in industrial settings, including motor controls, panel work, conduit bending, and equipment connections. Diagnose and resolve service and repair issues across residential and commercial properties with efficiency and professionalism. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, load calculations, and technical drawings to plan and execute installations. Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and passes inspection on the first attempt. Mentor and guide apprentices on job sites, upholding high standards of workmanship and safety. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, material usage, and time logs. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of electrical tools and materials. Respond to service calls and emergency electrical issues with timely and effective solutions. Required Qualifications: Valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Idaho. 5–7 years of craftsman electrical experience, with demonstrated expertise in full residential new construction (start to finish). Proven experience in industrial electrical work and service/repair calls. Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Idaho state electrical regulations. Ability to work independently and lead a crew on job sites. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with commercial electrical systems in addition to residential and industrial. Knowledge of generator systems, including installation, service, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with fire alarm, security, or low-voltage systems. Proficiency in conduit bending, load calculations, and panel design. Strong communication and leadership skills with experience mentoring apprentices. Work Environment: Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and environments. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in potentially hazardous conditions.
